Gauss’s Law. Now imagine there are various point charges that are distributed throughout the surface.

Q1,q2,q3.

The formula will be something like

=q1+q1+q2+q3

Which can be written as 

=1(total charge enclosed in the surface).

=1Qt.

This is the mathematical expression of the law, which is stated as:

The flux through any enclosed surface is 1 times the total charge enclosed in it.

Applications Of Gauss’s Law

This is applied to calculate the electric intensity due to different charge configurations.

Intensity Of Field Inside A Hollow Charged Sphere

The charge enclosed in a hollow surface is zero.

So according to the formula

=E.A

As E=0, therefore the A being multiplied will be zero as well.

So the intensity of the field inside a hollow charged sphere is zero.

=0.
